People have been killed by israeli airstrikes overnight on gaza city, it said the strikes had targeted two houses. this is the seventh day of violence the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu said military action would continue until security is restored. these are some of the latest pictures

well you look at the exchanges uh overnight and you would have to conclude no but i think there are some signs. 

there is quite a lot of diplomacy going on at the

moment the american envoy hadi amar is in town he meeting senior israeli officials today interestingly he met arab israeli

leaders. 

last night it's reported that's a highly unusual meeting which he heard their grievances which aren't just about the situation between israel and uh gaza but also about the uh. 

condition of israel of arabs living in israel so that was an interesting uh aspect of his diplomatic effort.

Tension between Israel and Hamas-led militant groups grew after seven Hamas militants were killed on Sunday night when a special Israeli army force entered into eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip and killed seven militants.
